Dioptase on Quartz

Item Description

Good Dioptase specimens are always in demand, and the pieces from the Kaokoveld Plateau are some of the best modern-day Dioptase specimens out there. This beautiful thumbnail specimen features sharp, lustrous, fine emerald green, gemmy trigonal crystals sitting on a thin bit of slightly smoky Quartz with a tiny bit of Plancheite on the back. The largest crystal measures 1.1 cm. The piece is not 100% perfect, but still good condition overall, and it's fairly aesthetic to boot.
