Dioptase on Quartz

Item Description

Good Dioptase specimens are always in demand, and the pieces from the Kaokoveld Plateau are some of the best modern-day Dioptase specimens out there. This beautiful miniature specimen features sharp, lustrous, fine emerald green, gemmy trigonal crystals sitting on a thin "rib" of slightly smoky Quartz with a thin layer of Plancheite in between. The largest crystal measures 6 mm, and virtually all of them are damage free.
