Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this obscure extinct Namibia copper mine near the famous Kombat Mine, that was active from 1919-1931. Rodgerberg produced outstanding dioptase specimens prior to Tsumeb. This colorful combination miniature features a 2.0 cm cluster of gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green dioptase crystals jauntily perched atop EXTREMELY RARE powder-blue plancheite and gossan matrix. Unique old-time combination material from the Shields Flynn Collection. MINDAT does not list placheite for the locale.
