Item Description

An EXTREMELY RARE and old combination pseudomorph specimen from this well-known and extinct Nevada mining district. Sparkly, dioptase microcrystals richly cover the pseudomorphs of malachite after sharp azurite blades. The large doubly terminated pseudo is 3.7 cm. Dioptase is listed for the district, but no specimens are known and azurite is rare. Double your rarity pleasure with this specimen. This piece is reported to be from a one-time find in the early 1900s. Ex Bob Byers Collection and comes with a faded Larard Cahn label, dating to prior to 1940. Valued at $1800.
