Item Description
Scintillating, gemmy, sharp, rich emerald-green dioptase crystals, to 5 mm, are richly and attractively festooned on both side of the sculptural, vuggy druzy quartz matrix. The aesthetic placement of the dense fields of the beautiful dioptase crystals on both sides is noteworthy. See the 2018 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 49, No. 4. Ex Wally Mann Collection. Wally is a well-known Dallas collector and Mineralogical Association of Dallas (MAD) member with a well-respected eye in fine minerals. Dioptase specimens of this quality and richness are very uncommon from here and this is an outstanding two-sided example.
