Item Description
A showy and excellent combination thumbnail from the small finds in the early 2000s at the far less well-known Christoff Mine of the Kaokoveld, Namiba. A 1.8 cm, gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green, dioptase crystal is aesthetically cradled on a cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal. These dioptases have a much different, richer color than those from Tsumeb or Reneville. The smoky, translucent cerussite has the classic waxy luster and resembles the classic cerussites from Morocco. The dioptase termination is coated and has very trivial sidewear. Very rarely available combination material from this small find. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
