Dioptase on Calcite w/ Duftite (classic)

Tsumeb dioptase on calcites are a worldwide combination classic and this is a very fine example. While not having the largest crystals, some would say this is the most sophisticated STYLE of dioptase specimens from Tsumeb, with sharp doubly-terminated crystals isolated on white calcite (also crystals). And, here, gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 9 mm are strikingly isolated on the undulating matrix of glassy, sharp calcite rhombs. Many of the calcites are preferentially included-with or host light green duftite. Uncommon in this quality, for this style. The former dealer label has a $2500 price, paid a few years ago by a collector who has sold his collection recently.
