Beautiful, gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green dioptase crystals cover the mounded matrix of desirable white calcite on this very attractive thumbnail from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The large dioptase crowning the piece is 1.6 cm. A choice thumbnail from this noted locale. Ex Jaime Bird Collection and comes with a Prosper Williams label dating from the late 1960s to 1980. $100 was not cheap in those days.
