Dioptase on Calcite

Item Description

This is a big, juicy Dioptase crystal from Tsumeb highlighted by white Calcite and accompanied by a few smaller Dioptase crystals! The large, very geometric Dioptase is incredibly lustrous and translucent and measures 1.8 cm across. Sitting prominently on the piece, the Dioptase crystal is nestled in dense group of 1.5 mm, bright white Calcite rhombs with a couple of smaller Dioptase crystals jutting out on both the right and left side for perfect balance, composition and contrast. All of the Dioptase crystals exhibit razor-sharp faces with glassy luster and marked clarity. An outstanding example of Dioptase from Tsumeb. Although the crystal is not complete on the reverse side, the display face is in magnificent condition and the specimen displays stunningly in person! It LOOKS LIKE a $$$$ megakiller thumbnail and it IS killer in appearance from the front, but as I said it is missing the back...so there is a lower value, and yet it displays like a crazy piece!
