Dioptase on Calcite

A highly desirable and showy combination piece from Tsumeb. Scintillating, gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 8 mm are aesthetically peppered on the sculptural, 3-dimensional vug lined with starkly contrasting calcite rhombs. All of the many dioptase crystals are pristine. Bruising is noted to the calcite on the knob, but has very modest impact to the overall fine quality of this piece. Valued at $1250. Classic combination material. Comes with an engraved lucite base to perch on, valued at $50, for free.
