Sparkling, gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 1.2 cm are festooned on the starkly contrasting matrix of glassy calcite rhombs on this excellent, classic and highly desirable combination specimen from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. These are very gemmy dioptase crystals, even for Tsumeb. A bit of modest bruising is noted, but this remains a very highly representative example of the sought-after combination species. Ex D.E.
