Item Description

A very attractive plate of dioptase, the best intense green color in sparkly and gemmy crystals like grains of sugar with glassy luster. The crystals are not large, but what makes this piece so pretty is how the dioptase crystals sit on a cluster of euhedral (rhombohedral) calcite crystals, which sets them off beautifully. Ex. Jingnan (Tom) Zhang Coll. Classic material from the 1980s.
