Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green dioptase crystals, to 2.0 (doubly terminated), cover the hefty layered matrix on this rich and excellent old-time specimen. The two small copper mines in the Guchab area were active from only 1908 to 1927 and produced superb dioptase specimens long before Tsumeb. The bit of noted bruising is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent large example. The color and quality is comparable to Tsumeb and and specimens are RARE compared to Tsumeb. MUCH BETTER in person. Value??
