Item Description
A very interesting and unusual looking large combination specimen from Tsumeb. The mounded, partially hollow crust has a distinct sintered look and feel. Much of the piece is covered with tiny, very sparkly, pastel-pink, cobaltoan dolomite rhombs. Gemmy, emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 6 mm and vugs of velvet malachite are attractively scattered around and on the weird-looking splayed, bulbous form in the middle. The splayed forms at the crest are actually dolomite coating fairly large malachite pseudomorphs after azurite blades. The piece is not great looking, but it is a classic and showy example of the combination species from this most famous locale. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
