A remarkable dioptase specimen that is among the richest USA origin dioptases period, surely, and as a bonus, it comes from the famous deposits in Tiger that are known for very rare species like leadhillite and diaboleite, more than for dioptase. We suspect that Bob collected this himself, as he had an extensive self-collected Tiger suite, as well. This is a large specimen, display-sized for many collectors, and features a shapely knob of matrix just draped with sparkling 1mm crystals of sugar-like dioptase. We had never seen something as rich and large, in this quality, for sale from Tiger. It is something that you see and just do a doubletake when you realize where it is from! Large, showy, colorful, an awesome addition to any USA or Arizona collection. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection (Bob was a well-known paleontologist and the longtime Natural History curator at the San Bernardino County Museum, and amassed a significant mineral collection as well).
