Good Dioptase specimens are always in demand, and the pieces from the Kaokoveld Plateau are some of the best modern-day Dioptase specimens out there. This beautiful thumbnail specimen features a fantastic, sharp, lustrous, fine emerald green, translucent trigonal crystal of Dioptase with a few accessory crystals. The piece does have a few nicks, so it's not 100% pristine, but the shimmering luster and intense color are about as good as it gets from the locality. Classich material from the Christoph Mine.
