Item Description

A dramatic, rare and superb combination from Tsumeb. Sparkly mint-green duftite microcrystals are richly and preferentially draped, like green snow, on mounded, classic rich emerald-green, gemmy and lustrous dioptase crystals, to 1.0 cm. Adjacent to and underlying the dioptase crystals are moderately rare blue plancheite botryoids and crusts. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7800 and acquired from well-known Canadian Africa mineral dealer, Prosper Williams, at the 1975 Detroit Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). This exceptional and rare 3-dimensional combination has multiple display views.
