Dioptase, Dolomite & Calcite

Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 8 mm are aesthetically clustered along the crest of the plate covered with tiny, scintillating, dolomite crystals. Small, sharp, colorless calcite rhombs are also scattered about. The back has been sawed to enhance the display. Periphery wear is noted, but has minimal impact on this showy, highly representative combination piece from the famous Tsumeb Mine.
