Item Description

While Dioptase is well-known from localities such as Tsumeb, the specimens from Tiger are not only distinctively different in style / habit, but also highly sought after on the market. They are certainly some of my favorite Dioptase specimens from any world locality. The Mammoth-St Anthony Mine is certainly one of the most revered of all Arizona localities, and is considered among the most classic specimen producers in the United States. This piece hosts beautiful, vibrant emerald green color acicular Dioptase crystals forming semi-radial "sprays" on minor matrix. We have photographed the crystals with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. These specimens are very difficult to obtain the market these days.
