Item Description

Classic material from Tsumeb featuring dozens of very sharp, lustrous, rich emerald green trigonal crystals of Dioptase on matrix. The main display face features a rich patch of crystals tightly intergrown to create a field of dazzling Dioptase that glows with color. The largest crystal measures about 4 mm. Dioptase is arguably the most desirable and well-known species from Tsumeb, which is saying something considering that this locality is the most prolific specimen producer in history in terms of sheer number of fine quality and rare minerals found there.
