Dioptase & Calcite (excellent)

Item Description

The vivid coloration and sculptural quality of this Tsumeb combination piece are striking! The multitude of scintillating, dioptase crystals look like tiny, gem emeralds on the artistic, bench-shaped vug of lustrous, colorless, calcite rhombs. Very interestingly, the dioptase crystals were preferentially not deposited on the underside of the bench. Strange chemistry here. The top portion of the vug even wraps around to the backside. Classic, excellent and dramatic Tsumeb dioptase and calcite. Very nice! Fairly valued at $1000.
