Dioptase and Duftite

A big and showy cabinet sized specimen of classic Tsumeb dioptase! This is a large and elongate vug lined with white Calcite crystals and glazed with drusy Quartz for sparkle is nearly filled with brilliant, emerald green crystals of Dioptase in this Tsumeb classic. The gemmy, super lustrous Dioptase crystals have super luster and display bright emerald green internal reflections that really set this piece off! Crystals inside the vug are up to 1.7 cm in length with the crystals inside the vug being totally complete and those on the outside around the edges mostly complete, though with some edge bruising. Patches of pistachio green Duftite are present as well around the edges, especially on the right side of the piece. Not perfect aroudn the rim, but this pocket glows with color and it will surely be a rather large and sparkly dioptase for the price, from these classic, legendary finds of the mid 1980s.
