Item Description
A very good specimen from the famous Kaokoveld Plateau in Namibia. This piece hosts a predominant, very sharp, highly lustrous, intense emerald green colored, trigonal Dioptase crystal measuring 9 mm with a few smaller Dioptase crystals sitting on "dogtooth"-shaped Calcite crystals sitting on massive Quartz matrix. Minor powder blue colored Shattuckite can be seen on the edge of the piece as well. The quality of the main crystal is excellent, and it's quite gemmy when backlit. A wonderful representative specimen of this contemporary classic material. Good crystallized Dioptase is only found in a handful of worldwide localities with crystals of this size and quality.
