Item Description

From a discovery in 2018. This miniature specimen hosts several very sharp, highly lustrous, intense emerald green trigonal crystals of Dioptase measuring up to 5 mm on host rock matrix. The crystals are fairly gemmy when backlit. Minimal damage, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket. These Dioptase specimens from Rep of Congo are among the best quality examples of the species to come from any world locality in recent years.
