Item Description

Vivid emerald-green, lustrous, translucent dioptase crystals, to 1.0 cm, cover the thin undulating crust on this rich and excellent small cabinet from this well-known abandoned open pit Katanga copper mine. This is a fine quality specimen for the locale. These crystals do have not quite the luster of a Tsumeb dioptase (or the best Kaokoveld pieces), but have even deeper green color to them. From an East Coast collection. MUCH better in person. valued $1200
