Dioptase

Item Description

A lovely large thumbnail specimen of the classic Tantara Dioptases featuring a robust, 1.8 cm, sharp, very lustrous, rich emerald green color trigonal crystal of Dioptase with smaller Dioptase crystals on minor matrix. The main crystal is undamaged on the termination, but there is a separation mark near the base. Very attractive, and lovely when backlit. These specimens seem to have disappeared from the market quickly, so if you want one, pick one up now as this locality can go for long periods of time without production of good material.
