Item Description
Tsumeb Dioptases are the standard for the species. The size, quality and color of the crystals is as good as it gets. These are true classics, and top specimens are highly sought after on the market today. Here we have an attractive toenail sized piece from this prolific locality featuring a stout, well-formed, textbook trigonal crystal with a strong deep emerald green hue measuring 1.4 cm, aesthetically perched on Calcite matrix. There is a thin "rub" along on edge of the termination, but the crystal is in good condition otherwise. A showy example of this beloved material from one of the world's most significant mineral localities.
