Item Description

A cool older specimen of Diopside with Titanite from an undisclosed locality in Ontario (possibly the Cardiff Uranium Mine) featuring sharp, well-formed, dark greenish-brown crystals of Diopside measuring up to 3.1 cm with tan colored Titanite (Sphene). Seldom seen on the market these days! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5833). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
