Diopside with Grossular (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

These specimens came out about 8 years ago, and I have only seen two different finds of this material in that span of time. The piece features a modified rich green (possible Chromium-bearing), translucent prism of Diopside with unusual modified honey-golden colored crystals of Grossular on limestone matrix. I really like the color combination and unique assocation here. I have never seen specimens like this from any other locality.
