Item Description
Reminiscent of the specimens from the European Alps, here we have an "Alpine Type" specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, gemmy greenish-blue prismatic Diopside crystals measuring up to 1.9 cm associated with lustrous, thin, prismatic, translucent golden colored Epidote crytals on matrix. Formerly in the collection of Richard A. Kosnar (the namesake for Kosnarite), and this specimen came to him about 20 years ago. These pieces seemed to have disappeared from the market in recent years. A good association specimen from one of the premier "cleft" localities in Pakistan. A showy and three-dimensional piece of this classic and rarely seen association from Pakistan.
