Item Description
A wonderful "Alpine Type" specimen consisting of sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, greenish-blue prismatic Diopside crystal coated associated with small, lustrous, translucent golden colored Epidote crytals in "Faden" growths. Formerly in the collection of Richard A. Kosnar (the namesake for Kosnarite), and this specimen came to him about 15 years ago. I personally have not seen many of them on the market in quite some time. A good association specimen from one of the premier "cleft" localities in Pakistan. Largest Diopside crystal measures 2.8 cm long, and the piece is in great shape overall. A showy and three-dimensional piece of this classic and rarely seen association from Pakistan.
