Item Description

Very nice cluster of attractive rare variety of Italian classic called in the past Traversellite (a variety of Diopside) crystals from the namesake mine in Italy. These prismatic crystals are 7-8 mm in length, and they have an attractive, silvery-green color with a shimmery luster. The crystals are isolated and present well, and the aesthetics of this miniature are well above average for this region. Formerly in the well known collection of Roberto Palumbo of Rome. These pieces are part of a century-old Italian collection that was recently acquired.
