Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Diopside from the Chuang-gyi locality in Mogok featuring a predominant soft beige colored prism with sharp, distinct faces, accompanied by a few smaller Diopsides on the side. The piece is in superb condition, the only damage I can see is on the base where the piece was detached from whatever matrix it grew upon. The color is certainly unusual for the species, and good crystals of Diopside this size are virtually impossible to find on the market from Mogok. Valued $1,200.
