Pitcairn, New York has produced some classic diopside and albite combinations and this is an aesthetic thumbnail example. A 1.5 cm, sharply terminated, lustrous, translucent, green crystal proudly stands upright on the albite matrix. A lustrous, naturally rounded, 1.5 cm, doubly terminated, diopside crystal is a fine compliment. Excellent combination material from the Schlichter Collection.
