Item Description
A very large for the locale, 2.0 cm, tapered, glassy, colorless, diopside crystal is the striking focal point on this outstanding specimen from the famous quarries at Eden Mills. The crystal is pristine. The smaller diopsides surrounding the giant are an excellent accent. This is a classic and important large specimen of the species from this noted locale. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 3558, with a 1994 date when he collected it.
