Item Description
Beautiful material from the "Alpine Type" deposit at Tormiq featuring sharp, lustrous, gemmy to translucent, rich blue-green colored Diopside crystals. This piece was mined circa 2005 and comes to us from the collection of Richard A. Kosnar (the namesake for Kosnarite). These particular specimens are seldom seen on the market today, along with a lot of the minerals from the "cleft" localities in Pakistan. The largest Diopside crystal measures 9 mm long. The piece is not 100% damage free, but still in decent shape, and the crystals look beautiful when backlit.
