Item Description
A wonderful "Alpine Type" specimen consisting of sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, greenish-blue prismatic Diopside crystals on massive Diopside matrix. Formerly in the collection of Richard A. Kosnar (the namesake for Kosnarite), and this specimen came to him about 15 years ago. I personally have not seen many of them on the market in quite some time. A good display specimen from one of the premier "kleft" localities in Pakistan. Largest Diopside crystal measures 2.1 cm long, and the piece is in great shape overall. A showy and three-dimensional piece of this classic and rarely seen association from Pakistan.
