Item Description
Diopside and vesuvianite specimens are uncommon from this obscure Afghanistan locale, near infamous Tora Bora. Scintillating, gemmy and lustrous, reddish-orange, vesuvianite crystals to 5 mm are richly and attractively clustered on the CABINET plate covered with glassy, translucent, straw-yellow, diopside prisms to about 2.0 cm. Pearlescent albite on one corner is a nice accessory. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this showy and excellent combination specimen at $350, five or more years ago.
