Item Description

This exceptionally well-formed Diopside crystal group has lustrous prism faces and a matte termination. The color is a light green-yellow. The termination and portions of the sides are very slightly translucent, which is uncommon to the species and locale. The crystal is also slightly curved. At one time, crystals of this material were fairly plentiful, but specimens of this size and quality were always hard to find. This piece comes with a label from A Broader Concept stating that it was collected in 1968 by the Rasmussen Family.
