Item Description

A good representative specimen of the well-known Diopsides from Birds Creek. This pieces hosts fairly sharp, blocky, brownish-green crystals measuring up to 1.4 cm on Calcite matrix. The following is a description of the locality on mindat.org: "The deposit is a small pit at the side of a cliff overlooking McFall Lake". It is 3.1 km from Birds Creek at the north end of McFall Lake"
