Digenite on Enargite (ex Al. McGuinnes and Scott Williams Collections)

Equant, trigonal crytals of matte-luster Digenite crystals measuring up to 5 mm are sitting on Enargite matrix with associated Sphalerite from this classic Leonard Mine in Butte, Montana. Some of the best crystallized examples of this relatively rare copper sulfide came from Butte. The piece is from the collection of Al McGuinness and later went to Scott Williams (both labels included). A good matrix association specimen of this classic material.
