Item Description
A tremendous rarity, only found in Utah. Dickthomssenite was approved as a species in 2000, and is a very rare hydrated magnesium vanadate. The type locality is the Firefly-Pigmay May in San Juan County, Utah. Specimens are seldom seen on the market, and certainly worthwhile for any rarities collector to pick up. This piece features microscopic yellow-beige colored prismatic radial "burst"-like crystals of Dickthomssenite with micro black spots of rarely seen native Selenium on Arenite host rock according to the label from Paolo Matioli. The piece is accompanied by a label fro Forrest and Barbara Cureton as well. Don't miss out on this one, these are impossible to get now.
