Diaspore (rare)

Gem quality Diaspore is not only rare, but it's almost unheard of outside of the classic material from the Selcuk District in Turkey. This stone is a beautiful example of this material. It has a fine "Oval Brilliant" cut with the classic typical soft straw yellow hue, with slight greenish-yellow highlights. It is virtually eye-clean, and it's very good sized for the material. Like many Diaspore gems, this stone does show a slight color change from the soft yellow tone in sunlight to more of a golden-pink tone low intensity lighting such as candlelight. This stone would make a great addition to any rare gem suite, and would be a bargain for the starting price. This stone is priced at $1,329.00 retail.
