Diaspore (ex Scalisi)

Once an old classic, there was a lapse of production from this locality for decades. Now, re-mining efforts for specimens here have produced a probably brief burst of this old gem material again. This piece however is and OLDER specimen, not from recent mining. This is a gemmy, crystal with fine form and light yellow-green color under incandescent lighting which shifts to a pink color under halogen lighting. The piece is very good shape, and nearly WATER clear throughout. The piece comes with a label from Phil Scalisi. Valued at $1200-$1500 retail.
