Diamonds are obviously one of the most well known gemstones in the world. They occur in virtually every color of the rainbow (including black) and are prized for the extreme durability and fire. This particular piece is a Diamond crystal, not a faceted stone, and is very attractive in person. The crystal is a sharp, modified, light greenish-yellow color modified octahedral crystal group. The faces of the crystals are fairly lustrous and well-formed, and the piece itself is slightly translucent when strongly backlit. A fantastic, good sized Diamond that would make a wonderful addition to any collection, or might possibly be a match for a cut stone to create a wonderful rough and cut set!
