Fine crystallized Diamonds are highly sought after by collectors today, especially with the number of mines closing around the world in favor of synthetic / lab created Diamonds appearing on the market. Diamonds occur in virtually every color of the rainbow (including black) and are prized for the extreme durability and fire. This particular piece is a lovely cubic Diamond crystal from the Miba Mine in D. R. Congo with sharp faces and a gentle silver-yellow color. The piece shows good internal translucency when backlit. The faces have good luster and the crystal looks beautiful under magnification. A lovely, good sized Diamond crystal that would make a wonderful addition to any collection, or might possibly be a match for a cut stone to create a wonderful rough and cut set ! This piece is a classic "floater" crystal from one of the most prolific Diamond producing nations in the world.
