Item Description
When it comes to gemstones, everybody knows DIamonds. They occur in all colors of the rainbow (including black) and are obviously the hardest substances in the mineral world, which combined with their impressive refractive properties make them the perfect candidates for jewelry. Obviously all faceted Diamonds start in the ground as crystals, and here we have a really cool 4-crystal set of sharp, well-formed cubic "floater" crystals of Diamond, all measuring between 2.5 mm to 3 mm, with a nice mix of colors. The largest crystal has rich chocolate-caramel hue while the others range from a bluish-silvery tone to a peachy-pink shade and a soft greenish-yellow color. A great set of crystallized Diamonds from the Miba Mine in D. R. Congo. All of the crystals show good internal translucency when backlit. The faces have good luster and the crystals look beautiful under magnification. These are good sized Diamond crystals that would make a wonderful addition to any collection, or might possibly be a match for a cut stone(s) to create a wonderful rough and cut set ! A classic "floater" crystal set from one of the most prolific Diamond producing nations in the world. Total weight of the set is 1.60 carats. The set came to us with a high retail price of $700.
