Item Description
Diamonds are obviously one of the most well known gemstones in the world. They occur in virtually every color of the rainbow (including black) and are prized for the extreme durability and fire. This particular piece is a Diamond crystal, not a facetted stone, and is very attractive in person. This is a beautiful, fairly sharp, reddish to colorless cubic / dodecahedral / tetrahexahedral crystal of Diamond from the Miba Mine in D. R. Congo. The piece shows internal translucency when backlit. The faces have good luster and the crystal looks beautiful under magnification. A lovely, good sized Diamond crystal that would make a wonderful addition to any collection, or might possibly be a match for a cut stone to create a wonderful rough and cut set! A classic "floater" crystal from one of the most prolific Diamond producing nations in the world.
