Item Description

A rare and showy combination specimen from this obscure lead-zinc-copper mine in Iran. Diaboleite is rare hydrated lead-copper chloride. Bright, rich powder-blue diaboleite microcrystals richly and attractively coat the hefty matrix of massive cerussite. RARE species from this mine, as MINDAT does not feature examples of these species in the photo gallery of this locale. Ex Christophe Dubois and Robert Whitmore Collections and probably dates from the 1950 to early 1970s. Heavy lead for the size at 494 grams or 1.1 pounds.
