Item Description

Diaboleite is one of the most highly sought after mineral species from the famous Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine at Tiger. Some of the finest crystallized specimens of this Lead Copper Hydroxyhalide in the world are found at this locality. Initially, one can see the amazingly electric intense blue color is what attracts collectors. Rarely, the crystals are over a few mm in size, but the color and form more than make up for it. This specimen hosts a few small, gemmy/translucent, BRIGHT azure blue color, tabular blades of Diaboleite on matrix. I have photographed the crystals under the microscope to better show their quality. It is mounted for micro-viewing and would make a great addition to any Tiger suite, especially if you have a nice high power microscope to view the crystals.
